Snow Mountain 2013

Every year my dad’s side of the family has a family reunion in the Rockies. We’ve only made it three times: 2000, 2009, and 2013, but it’s always enjoyable when we do go.

There are some spectacular clouds in the Rockies.

I’ll try not to overload you, but that’s what most of my pictures were of.

Joseph!

Good morning from Cabin 56!

The annual hike to the waterfall

There was lots of food and laughter and card games and love

And us nature-lovers could be constantly outdoors hiking, doing put-put, archery, walking, running, sitting, star-gazing, and for some, mountain biking.

I enjoyed spending time with my aunt and dad’s cousin especially, as we found nice quiet places at the cabin or on the lake to talk and be still.

{moose!}

{this hike was so much fun. At 9,000 feet to begin with, 1,800 foot gain, 7 miles – a good challenge but lots of fun}

{At Peak 5!}

{And then we did this}

{celebrating mom and dad’s 25th anniversary}

{wearing gramma Elizabeth’s hiking boots, that are now my Aunt’s}

{a hike up 9 Mile at dusk}

{the most spectacular cloud pictures are still coming, in their own special post}
