Japan: Snow Festival

This one was the most impressive, in my opinion.

There were also a number of smaller sculptures

My favorite snow sculpture

At the train station: flowers frozen into ice

Inside the Tsudome, a community dome where they had a bunch of food and indoor play stuff for kids, with a snowpark outside.

S did not like the slide and now hates slides.

Our last stop in Sapporo was the Ice Sculptures

And our last snow-related thing was the Otaru Lantern Festival, which was our favorite part

Because of the timings of flights, we ended up waiting around at the airport for a while. Thankfully there was a lot to do, like this walk-all-around-the-airport-collecting-stamps activity.

Overall, we enjoyed the snow festival but it wasn’t as impressive as we were expecting it to be for being an event that people travel to from all over the world.
